Things You Can Do

There are LOTS of ways to get involved in the Gouldsboro Historical Society.  If you have something in particular you would like to do or just want to help in general, send us an email and we will get back to you.

Here are some examples:
Serve on a Committee or the Board of Directors.  The Society is an all-volunteer organization.  You know the saying, Many hands make light work.  It's true.  Do not hesitate to contact us if you are willing to pitch in.

Our Bean Suppers are popular events and our best fund raisers!  And they take many hands to make happen.  In addition to diners, we need cooks, pie-bakers, servers, cleaner-uppers, and more.  Just let us know you are willing to help and we will contact you about the next one.

Interested in the Museum?  We need guides on summer Saturday afternoons when the Museum is open to the Public.  Our curators also need help managing the collection, which can be done at other times.  Let them know if you have an hour or two (or more!) to help.

Our Buildings are always in need of something.  If you have the relevant expertise, the Buildings committee would love to hear from you.

The Newsletter needs articles of historical interest related to the Town.  It comes out once a year, so if you have a tale to tell, write it up and email it to us.

Our website is new and growing.  We would like to add archival content, genealogy materials, cemetery records, videos of past evening programs, and lots more! This will take time while materials are scanned/converted into a form that can be added to the site. Let our Webmaster know if you can help.
