PRESERVING THE HISTORY OF GOULDSBORO, MAINE

Welcome to the Town of Gouldsboro Historical Society Website!

See our WHAT'S NEW! page announcing the publication of FOUNDERS AND FOLLOWERS, a new history of Gouldsboro by REV. CHARLES A. JOY

PLEASE NOTE:

2020 was going to be a busy year for the Gouldsboro Historical Society, celebrating the State of Maine's 200th Birthday! We had planned to offer our community a great series of speaker programs, present special tours and activities at our Old Town House Museum and Blance Archive, and continue our tradition of Bean Suppers.

However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all of these events have been cancelled and the Old Town House Museum and Blance Archive are closed to the public until further notice. Once the emergency is over we will reevaluate the situation to see if any events can be rescheduled. Please check our Facebook page and our Calendar for updates.

This site is a window into the work of the Gouldsboro Historical Society, located in Gouldsboro, Maine. Here you will find a listing of our events, activities, useful links, and some Town History. So browse around, discover, get involved.
